Ronald Talbot

Ronald Talbot 80, passed away Saturday morning October 29th at his home in Schenectady. Born and educated in Schenectady, Ronald was the son of the late George and Mary (Dudziec) Talbot and a 1953 graduate of Mont Pleasant High School. A former buyer manager for Myers Children's Shop for 23 years, Ronald retired in 1996 from Campbell Plastic's as a front line supervisor after 21 years of service. A member of the Rotterdam Elks # 2157, Ronald was a past president of the PTO at Fulton and Van Corlaer Schools, a former Webelos leader with the Boy Scouts of America and a more then 50 year member of Bellevue Reformed Church. A former volunteer with the American Cancer Society, the American Heart Association and the United Way, Ron enjoyed woodworking and gardening. Predeceased by his grandson, Christopher Ronald Talbot, a brother, Norman Roziecki and a step-sister, Violett Moran, Ronald is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years Marjorie (Ostrander) Talbot, his children, Ronald Scott Talbot (Sherry) of Schenectady and Janice Lee Talbot of Rotterdam, his grandchildren, Ronald S. Talbot Jr. of Schenectady and Brenda L. Shannon (Justin) of Rotterdam and step-sisters, Gloria Quant of Schenectady and Cheryl Givens of NC. Ron is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday afternoon November 2nd at 1 pm at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Ave., Schenectady. A visitation will precede the service at the funeral home from 11:30 am to 1 pm. Interment will be in Woestina Cemetery in Rotterdam Junction, NY
