Ronald R Pierone Sr

Ronald R. Pierone Sr., 70, of Schenectady passed away on Friday October 5, 2018 at Ellis Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Born in Niskayuna, he was the son of the late Joseph and Pauline (Zurlick) Pierone. He was employed for 25 years, as a store manager for P&C Markets in Schenectady. After that, Ron was employed in the tax department of Bank of America. Ron was first and foremost a family man. He spent over 10 years as a volunteer by coaching both of his sons JC Little League teams. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was there for every football game, soccer game, gymnastics and dance recital. His grandchildren were his world. Both he and his loving wife Mary did everything together. Ron was simply a good man who was always there for his family and friends. He loved to travel, especially the family vacations each year at Stone Harbor, NJ. Ron also was passionate about spending his summers at the family camp at Sacandaga Lake. Ron and Mary enjoyed traveling on vacations to exotic locations together every year. Ron is predeceased by his four brothers Joseph Pierone (Late Frieda), Donald Pierone, Harold Pierone and Richard Pierone. He is survived by his loving wife Mary (Boyd) Pierone whom he married August 9, 1969 and two loving sons Ronald R. Pierone Jr. (Erin) of Moreau and Paul Pierone (Sabrina) of Schenectady. Ronald is also survived by four loving grandchildren- Ronald R. Pierone III, Jillian Pierone, Ava Pierone and Lyla Pierone as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for Ron will be Tuesday October 9, 2018 at 7PM at the Bond Funeral Home 1614 Guilderland Avenue Schenectady. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5-7PM prior to the service.
