Robert E Snare

Robert E. Snare 83 died Tuesday morning September 20, 2011 at Seaton Health St. Mary's Hospital in Troy, NY. Born in Schenectady, Robert was a graduate of Mont Pleasant High School and the son of the late George and Helena (Waytho) Snare. A WWII Army veteran , he was employed at the General Electric Company for 19 years before leaving to work for Amsterdam Printing, where he retired in 1991 as Vice President of sales after 25 years of service. Robert was a member of Christ Community Reformed Church in Clifton Park, the Masonic Order and was an avid golfer who loved fishing and boating on Lake George. A devoted husband, father and grandfather, Robert is survived by his wife of 60 years Marilyn M. (Burns) Snare , daughters Diane H. Snare of Lake George and Janet E. DeRusso (Craig) of Ballston Spa, grandchildren Danielle and Craig DeRusso and Rebecca and Sarah Atwell, a sister Patricia Miller of Lower Gwynedd, PA. as well as several nieces and nephews. Robert was also predeceased in 1991 by a beloved daughter Linda F. Atwell. A memorial service will be held on Saturday September 24, 2011 at 12noon at Christ Community Reformed Church, 1010 Route 146, Clifton Park, NY 12065. A visitation will be held at the church from 10 to 11 am prior to the memorial service. Interment to follow in Memory Gardens.
