Robert Matthew Rowney Jr.

Robert Matthew Rowney Jr.,65, of Clifton Park passed away on April 29,2026.

Born in Schenectady, New York, Robert was the son of Robert M. Rowney Sr. and the late Arlene (Holden) Rowney.

Robert's dedication to his work was evident in his career as a general manager at Price Chopper in Colonie, NY, where he worked for over 43 years. In his spare time, Robert enjoyed being outdoors especially in the Adirondacks hiking, he also liked playing golf and wine tasting.

Predeceased by his mother, Arlene Rowney, Robert is survived by his loving wife, Kathy Rowney, his children, Elizabeth Pruyn (Andrew) and Matthew R. Rowney (Jenny Brayman) his father, Robert M. Rowney Sr., and his sisters Sandra Bloomer (late Larry), Marceline Hughes (Dr. Richard Hughes), Rochelle Closson (Ron), and Robin Ramos. Robert also leaves behind his four grandchildren, Sophie, Ella, Jensen and Carson.

A visitation will be held on May 9,2026 at Bond Funeral Home, 1614 Guilderland Ave, Schenectady from 1-3PM, a memorial service will follow at 3PM.
