Robert Perry

Robert K. Perry, 73, of Scotia, NY passed away unexpectedly but peacefully on Tuesday, February 16, 2021. He was born in Schenectady, NY to the late Theda (McKee) and Frederick Perry and graduated from Bishop Gibbons High School before completing his General Electric apprenticeship. He retired from GE as the manager of the Gas Turbine division, after 38 years of hard work and mentorship to many.

Bob was a communicant of St. Joseph’s in Scotia. He enjoyed childhood in Rotterdam, summers at Sacandaga Lake, playful banter with siblings, spending quality time with his daughter, boating on Lake George, woodworking, golfing with buddies, meticulous yard work, pub visits with friends, and “Bucko’s bonfires.” He loved animals, and was a devoted Daddy to his cats Peter, Pawl, and Mary.

Bob is survived by his daughter, Jennifer (John) Zacharek of Niskayuna, NY; siblings, Keith (Patti) Perry of Chambersburg, PA and Brenna (Terry) Fredrick of Cooper City, FL; former spouse, Barbara Perry (Bob Dressel) of Clifton Park; along with nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors, good friends, and caregivers.

A visitation for Bob will be held on Saturday morning March 6, 2021 from 8:30 am to 9:30 am at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Avenue, Schenectady followed at 10 am at St. Josephs Church, 231 Second Street , Scotia, NY where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated (COVID protocols will be followed)
