Robert C. Malison, "Bushie Maliszewski" 80 of Rotterdam died Thursday February 16, 2006 at his home surrounded by his family. Born in Schenectady, he was the son of Victor and Agnes Maliszewski and a graduate of Nott Terrace High School. A WWII veteran of the Army Air Force, Bob worked for the General Electric Company for over 42 years retiring in 1986 as a methods specialist. He was a graduate of the G.E. Apprentice course, a member of the G.E. ? century, a member of the G.E Apprentice Alumni and the Cornell Cooperative Extension where he was a master gardener. Robert was predeceased by two brothers Alfred and Arnold Maliszewski. Robert affectionately known as" Papa" grew up in Goose Hill. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed traveling, reading and 4-wheeling. He was our own "Mr. Fix it". Survivor's include his wife of 61 years Fredericka (Gable) Malison, three children, Janet Way (John) of Wayne ,PA, Patricia Vajda(Michael) of Bel Air, MD and Robert Malison (Sharon) of Rotterdam, six grandchildren, Robert Ruddell, Thomas Ruddell, Nickolas Vajda, Peter Vajda, Zachary Malison and Joshua Malison and a great granddaughter Samantha Ruddell. Funeral services will be held Saturday morning February 25, 2006 at 10 am at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Ave, Schenectady, NY. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home Friday evening from 6 to 8 pm. Interment in St. Cyril's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Robert's memory to Community Hospice, 1411 Union Street, Schenectady, NY 12308
