Robert A. Famolaro, 53, of Lorraine Avenue Rotterdam died Saturday September 25, 2004 at Albany Medical Center after a short illness. Robert was the son of the late Anthony and Genevieve (DiPierro) Famolaro. He was born and raised in Utica, NY and moved to Rotterdam, NY in 1972.Robert was a self employed carpet installer with his brother Michael for 37 years. He was a member of St. Gabriel's Church in Rotterdam. Robert was a manager for a few years for the Bellevue Little League in Schenectady. He loved being surrounded by family and friends. His most treasured moments were the weekly Sunday Pasta dinner gatherings with his family. Robert is predeceased by one grand daughter Olivia Leona Durand. Survivors include his wife Sandra Abbott Famolaro whom he married July 17, 1971, two daughters Lisa Durand and her husband Harry of Charlton, NY, Jennifer Brandolino and her husband Robert of Niskayuna, NY, two sons Robert Famolaro Jr. of Rotterdam, NY, Joseph Famolaro of Beaumont, TX, one brother Michael Famolaro and his wife Patricia of Rotterdam, NY, two sisters JoAnn Desmarais and her husband Stephen of Colonie, NY, Katherine Rabbia and her husband Paul of Utica, three grandchildren Joseph Durand, Alexander Durand and Nicholas Brandolino, also survived by several nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. Funeral Services will be Tuesday 8:15AM at the Bond Funeral Home Broadway and Guilderland Avenue Schenectady followed by a Mass at 9AM at St. Gabriel's Church 3040 Hamburg St. in Rotterdam. Relatives and Friends are invited to attend. Calling Hours will be Monday evening 6-8PM at the Funeral Home. Internment will be in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery in Niskayuna, NY.
