Robert A Dowling

Robert A. Dowling 93 formerly of Rotterdam Jct., NY died December 18, 2009 in Boca Raton, Florida. Born in Rotterdam Junction, he was the son of the late Fred and Pearl (Sisk) Dowling. The former president and General Manager of Pattersonville telephone Co. for over 40 years, Bob retired in 1981. He was a former member of Corlaer Lodge #932, the director of NYS Independent Telephone Association, the Rotterdam Junction Volunteer Fire department and former Treasure, the Schenectady Musicians Union and the First Methodist Church. Robert was predeceased in 1987 by his wife Margaret (Vedder) Dowling. He is survived by two nephews, Warren and Irene Larabee of Amsterdam and Ivar and Christal Rohats of Florida. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday April 20, 2010 at 9 am at Woestina reformed cemetery. A visitation will be held at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Ave, Schenectady, NY on Monday evening April 19, 2010 from 6 to 8 pm
