Robert S Cummings Sr

Robert S. Cummings Sr., 91, formerly of Schenectady passed away peacefully on Thursday June 22, 2017 at the Village at South Farms in Middletown, CT. Born in Schenectady, he was the son of the late Sheridan and Gladys (Jaycox) Cummings. Bob served his country in the Army during World War 2. He was a graduate of Union College and employed for many years as a civil engineer for the New York Department of Transportation. Bob was a member of the Bellevue Reformed Church in Schenectady. His hobbies included bowling and golf. Bob was predeceased by his loving wife Marian (Pollock) Cummings, his loving son Robert S. Cummings Jr. and one loving brother Phillip Cummings. He is survived by his loving nephew Michael Pollock of Middletown, CT and his loving niece Elaine Pragon of Menands NY as well as several other nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral Services for Bob will be Tuesday June 27, 2017 at 11AM at the Bond Funeral Home 1614 Guilderland Avenue Schenectady. A calling hour will precede the service from 10-11AM. Interment will be in Parkview Cemetery in Schenectady.
