Rita J Russell

Rita J. Russell, 78, of Charles Street Scotia died Monday August 28, 2006 at the Glendale Home in Glenville. Rita was born in Utica, NY, and was the daughter of the late Thomas and Loretta (Ruhm) Chapadeau. She graduated from Nott Terrace High School and Mildred Elley Business School. Rita was employed as an office worker for the Air National Guard where she met her husband Clifford, and had also worked for the General Electric and Corporation Park. A member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Scotia, Rita enjoyed spending time with her family. She was predeceased by her husband Clifford E. Russell in 1994 and by two daughters Patricia J. Russell and Wendy L. Russell and a brother Thomas R. Chapadeau. Rita is survived by three children Donna Lewis (Joseph) of Greenfield, NY, Robert J. Russell of Scotia and John C. Russell of Scotia, a sister-in-law Alice Chapadeau of Rotterdam Jct., a grandchild Megan Lewis, 3 step-grandchildren, Joseph Lewis, Melissa Nadeau and Christopher Lewis, a nephew Donald Chapadeau and several cousins. Funeral Services will be held Thursday morning August 31, 2006 at 11am at the Bond Funeral Home Broadway and Guilderland Avenue Schenectady. Relatives and Friends are invited to attend. Calling hours will be held Wednesday evening from 7 to 9 pm at the funeral home. Internment will be in Schenectady Memorial Park in Rotterdam. Rita's family would like to thank the staff at Glendale Nursing Home for there excellent care for the past 2 years.
