Rita G Decocco

Rita G. DeCocco, 75, of Duanesburg passed away Friday September 21, 2012 at St. Peter's Hospice Inn in Albany surrounded by her loving family. Born in Lynnbrook, Long Island, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Hella(Horn) Seuling. Rita was a graduate of Schoharie Central High School. She was employed for 15 years as a Secretary for the Golub Corporation in Rotterdam, retiring in 1999. Rita was a member of the Schoharie Valley Hay Shakers Square Dance Club and Akin's Angels Ride for Strides. She was also a 4-H leader for many years. Rita loved her gardening, her cats and feeding the birds. She is survived by her husband Dominick A. DeCocco, three children Steven L. DeCocco (Laurie) of Duanesburg, Ronald W. DeCocco (Yvonne) of Delanson and Beverly Akin (David) of Schaghticoke, one brother Lorenz Seuling ( Pat) of Arkansas, three sisters Jean Seuling ( Jim) of Perth, Doris Madison ( Melvin) of Schoharie and Irene Hayes (John) of Schoharie, also she was the Nonee of R.J. Gordon and Justin Akin, Grandma of Joey, Beth, Tommy ( Arena) and Christopher, Great Grandma of Kayligh, also survived by many brother and sister in laws as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be Wednesday 10:30AM at the Bond Funeral Home Broadway and Guilderland Avenue Schenectady. Calling Hours will be Tuesday evening 6-8PM at the funeral home. Internment will be in the Gerald B.H. Solomon-Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville. In Lieu of flowers,contributions can be made to the Dana Farber Jimmy Fund Attn.
