Richard Yahn, 83, of Rotterdam died Tuesday morning, October 11, 2011 at Ellis Hopsital. Born in Schenectady, Richard was the son of the late Chester and Doris (Roehrer) Yahn. For 20 years Richard worked in finger print ID for the Department of Criminal Justice and previously for NYS tax and finance and was a former manager of Hall Drugs in Schenectady for 17 years. An avid NY Yankees fan, Richard also enjoyed all animals, playing the lottery, and walking to Stewart's for his afternoon coffee. Richard is predeceased by two brothers, Donald and Ellis 'Bud' Yahn and one sister, Barbara Marhafer. He is survived by his wife Winifred (DeVarnne) Yahn whom he married August 15, 1954, his daughter Cynthia Siatkowski (Thomas) of Glenville, as well as two sisters, Helen Croff of Scotia and Joyce White (Carl) of Rotterdam, one granddog, Bearah and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held Monday morning October 17 at 10:30 am at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Ave, Schenectady. Calling hours will be Sunday, October 16 from 4-7pm at the funeral home. Interment in Memory's Garden.
