Richard E. Warren Jr.

Richard E. Warren Jr., of Schenectady New York, passed away on Saturday, July 11th, 2026. Born in Chatham, New Jersey, Richard was the son of Richard E, Warren Sr, and Katherine (Lehlbach) Warren.

Richard proudly served his country as a flight crew chief with the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam conflict. His dedication and technical expertise defined his career, where he transitioned from an airplane mechanic to a fluid mechanics engineer, following his graduation from Union College. His professional achievements were further highlighted by holding several U.S. patents.

He loved being outdoors surrounded by nature, whether he was exploring the woods or casting a fishing line. An avid runner and cyclist, he once ran a 10k race in under 40 minutes.

In his younger years, Richard was a sports enthusiast and athlete excelling at baseball and football. Richard was known as a good neighbor, always willing to lend a helping hand. He was a loving father and a faithful, devoted husband.

Predeceased by his loving wife Frances (Neff) Warren, Richard is survived by his son Paul Warren, his daughter Jennifer Warren and his sister Mary Goodbread.

Services for Richard will be held on July 22, 2026 at Bond Funeral Home, 1614 Guilderland Avenue, Schenectady. Calling hours will be from 11-12PM followed by a funeral service at 12PM. Burial will take place at St. Cyril Cemetery.
