Richard D Larson

Richard Donald Larson, 79 but almost 80, of Rotterdam passed away on Tuesday June 13, 2006. Mr. Larson was born in Minneapolis, Minn. on September 29, 1926, the son of Selma and Ernest Larson. He served in the 25th Division 4th infantry during WWII. He married the former Kathryn Huston on July 23, 1955. Richard taught Biology at Schalmont High School for 33 years until his retirement. Richard was an avid golfer in the early years and later on enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, studying classical music and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife Kathryn Larson, three children, Carolyn Lansing(Pieter) of Schenectady, Timothy Larson (Evelyn) of Malta and Thomas Larson of Rotterdam, six grandchildren, Zoe Lansing, Samuel Lansing, Benjamin Lansing, Daisy Lansing, Victoria Larson and Gabriella Larson and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Friday morning June 16, 2006 at 11 am at Amity Reformed Church, Riverview Road in Rexford. Memorial contributions may be made to the Amity Reformed Church, Rexford in his memory.
