Richard Hilton

Richard A. Hilton,56, of Rotterdam went home to be with the Lord while surrounded by his loving family on Sunday July 26, 2020 after a brave battle with leukemia.

Born in Albany, NY, he was the son of the late Robert Hilton Sr. and his mother Helen (Seeberger) Hilton.

Rich had a love for working in the family business, Hilton Pianos. He had a gift for teaching the next generation to play piano. Rich’s forte was piano restoration which was respected by everyone in the industry.

He enjoyed fishing and watching his kids play sports. The love he shared with Jesus Christ was apparent in each and every one of his relationships.

Besides his mother, Rich is survived by his wife of 32 years Brenda (Relyea) Hilton, two daughters Rachel Vine (Brandon) and Emily Hilton, two sons Matt Hilton and Andrew Hilton, two brothers Robert A. Hilton Jr. (Teresa) and Russell Hilton (Laurie) as well as three sisters Dawn Hilton, Susan Davey (Keith) and Rebecca MacDougall (Justin).

A Celebration of Richard’s life will be Friday July 31, 2020 at Bethel Full Gospel 3625 Guilderland Avenue Rotterdam at 12:30PM with Pastor Steve Foti officiating. Visitation will precede the service at the church from 10-12 on Friday. Due to Covid 19 restrictions masks are required and both indoor and outdoor screens are available for service.

Interment will be in Memory Gardens in Colonie.

Arrangements are by the Bond Funeral Home 1614 Guilderland Avenue Schenectady.
