Reverend Paul B. Caley served the Lord for 48 years in pastoral ministry. Paul's ministry began as a student pastor with the Union Church in Lavallette, NJ, in 1952 at the end of his second year at Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Philadelphia. Upon graduation in 1953, Paul married the love of his life, Phyllis Ann Rinehart, and became the full time pastor at the Lavallette church. During that pastorate, he embraced the Reformed Faith and happily discovered the Reformed Church in America. His ministry in the RCA began with Hope Reformed Church, Clifton, NJ; then American Reformed Church, Luverne, MN; and for 21 years, Trinity Reformed Church, Schenectady, NY. Paul was Stated Clerk and Treasurer of Passaic Classis for 5 years and Schenectady Classis for 20 years. Paul retired from full time ministry at age 65 in 1994. A month later he began a five year season as Specialized Interim Minister with five RCA churches in Herkimer, Kinderhook, Catskill, and Fort Plain, NY and finally with First Reformed Church of Denver, CO. At age 70 he retired from the interim ministry when he moved to a senior community in Mesa, AZ, where they lived for five years. While there, Paul preached at two nearby retirement homes and used his expertise with computers as the community computer technician. For a year Paul also drove a city bus in Mesa and Phoenix, AZ. In 2005, he moved to Northwest Arkansas, where he serviced computers and drove a school bus or handicapped children. Paul was an amazing father to 6 children; Anne Landseidel, Debbie Boswell, Connie De Novio (William) , Janet Lenehan (David), Peter Caley (Jeanne), Cathy Lemay (Mathieu). He had 21 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren, with #10 on the way. He spent his final days in Houston, TX where he and Phyllis lived with their daughter and son in law. He was a member of Christ Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Houston, TX.
