Regina Hallenbeck (Reggie)

Regina (Reggie) M. Hallenbeck, 84, of Schenectady passed away Friday May 18, 2012 at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady. Born in Schenectady, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (DeLewski) Nowinski. Reggie was employed as a Secretary for the General Electric Company in Schenectady. She attended the Church of St. Adalbert in Schenectady. Reggie was spunky, kind and a generous person. She looked forward to her visits with family and talking about the good old days. Unfortunately, Reggie was no longer able to bake, but her apple pies will not be forgotten. In days past, she had a beautiful flower garden and continued gardening on a smaller scale. Reggie was a lover of Quick Draw and scratch off Lottery tickets. She is predeceased by her husband Raymond Hallenbeck whom she married July 9, 1949. Reggie is survived by her two daughters Bette McCumber (Mark) of Princetown and Isabel Bass (Steve) of Guilderland. She is also survived by 5 Grandchildren-Gabrielle Bass, Jonathan Bass, Justine Harpster, Tyler Bass and Daniel McCumber as well as 1 Great Grandchild, Kaylee Bass. As per Reggie's request no services will be held. Contributions can be made in Reggie's memory to the American Cancer Society, 260 Osborne Road Albany, NY 12211. Arrangements are by the Bond Funeral Home Broadway and Guilderland Avenue Schenectady.
