Ralph Workman Berry

December 19, 1914 — June 28, 2008

Ralph Berry 83 of Rotterdam died Saturday June 28th at the Avenue Nursing Home in Schenectady. Born and educated in Schenectady, Ralph was the son of the late Rossom and Edith Berry. A WWII Navy veteran, he worked as a welder at General Electric Company for over 30 years and was also the owner of Sudsy Tavern for over 9 years. Ralph was a member of the GE quarter century club and the Rotterdam Elks. Ralph was predeceased by his wife Marion (Van Patten)Berry in 2000 ,a brother Anthony Berry and a step -son John White Survivors include his step-children Jerry Leonardo and Joan Monda both of Rotterdam and Joseph Leonardo and wife Sandy of Schenectady, 14 grandchildren , 2 great grandchildren and 2 nieces. A graveside funeral service will be held on Tuesday afternoon July 1, 2008 at 2pm at Memorys Garden Cemetery, Watervliet Shaker Road, Colonie, NY. There will be no Calling hours. Contributions to the American Cancer Society in Ralph's memory. Arrangements are by Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Ave., Schenectady, NY.
