Quiessence Irizarry, 24, Passed away in a tragic car accident along with her brother Nyvon Irizarry on September 1, 2024. Quiessence was born on July 1, 2000, in Schenectady, NY, to DeVeecka Alexander and Ivan Irizarry. She attended Schenectady schools and worked in Homecare. In her younger years she was a Cheerleader for Belmont Pop Warner. Quiessence suffered with Sickle Cell Disease from birth, but she didn’t let her disease define her. She loved her videos and Snap Chat. She loved her two boys, NiQue and Bay. Her laugh will always be remembered and her saying, “Hey Yo!”. She was very close to her two brothers, and she called Nyvon her “twin”. She leaves to cherish her memory, her parents DeVeecka Alexander and Ivan Irizarry; her children NiQue Simmons (7) and BaQuan Campbell (1); her grandparents Melinda and Ronald Faulkner, Jean McCray, and Clarence and Debbie Alexander; her siblings Nahkai Irizarry, and Santos, Sabion, and Sebastian Irizarry; Aunts DeVenashia Faulkner, Tashima Irizarry, LaKeisha Alexander, Deshawn Redmon; and her Uncles Thaddeus McCray, Clavon Alexander, Antoine Alston, and Dayvon Washington; her nieces Eliona Irizarry and Frances Irizarry; godparents Tony and Debbie Bienkowski,her significant other Omar Wynn who was very special to her, and a host of cousins, close family, and friends; predeceased by her great-grandparents Donald and Jeanette LeFevre, Clarence and Elsie Alexander. Quiessence will truly be missed!
