Quentin A Brown

Quentin Alva Brown 86 of Rotterdam died Sunday evening December 31, 2006 at Ellis hospital. Born in Hancock, NY, he was the son of the late Harry E. and Sophia L. (Stewart) Brown. He was a WWII Army veteran and a graduate of Modern Welding School in Schenectady. Quentin worked as a welder at the General Electric Company for over 34 years before retiring in 1981. An avid hunter, he was a life member of the N.R.A. and a past member of the Helderberg Rod and Gun Club. He was also a member of the General Electric ? century club. Survivors include his wife of 58 years Marian (MacDonald) Brown who he married on April 25, 1948, his son Eric Q. Brown of Rotterdam, a brother, Alfred brown of Plains, Montana, a sister, Lavonne Brundidge of New Berlin, NY and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held private for the family. Calling hour to which relatives and friends are invited will be held on Thursday evening from 6 to 8 pm at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Ave, Schenectady, NY. Internment in Schenectady Memorial Park in Rotterdam, NY
