Philomena Rapp (Sarrutto)

Philomena Rapp, 94, of Schenectady passed away on Monday September 12, 2022 at Ellis Residential and Rehabilitation Center. Born in Schenectady, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Angelina (Pellegrino) Sarrutto.

She was employed as a meat packer for Pleasant Valley Meat Packing in Schenectady. Later, she became a home maker.

Philomena is predeceased by her husband Franklin Rapp Sr., her son Franklin Rapp Jr., her brother John Sarrutto and three sisters Concetta Boilard, Carmella Sarrutto and Rita Millie.

She is survived by her dear friend Raymond DiReardo, her daughters Patricia Rapp and Angela Rapp both of Schenectady, her sons David Rapp of Schenectady and James Rapp of Corinth. Philomena is also survived by her brother Patsy Sarrutto of Scotia as well as 5 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Philomena will be Friday September 23, 2022 at 11am at the Bond Funeral Home 1614 Guilderland Avenue Schenectady. Masks are required. Visitation will be from 10-11am prior to the service.

Interment will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery Kings Road Schenectady.

In lieu of flowers, contributions an be made in her memory to the charity of one’s choice.
