Peter Scirocco, 88, of Rotterdam passed away peacefully at Kingsway Arms Nursing Home in Schenectady. Born in Schenectady, he was the son of the late John and Constance (Leone) Scirocco.
Drafted after High School, Peter served his country in the Army. After returning home, Peter went to work as a musical instrument technician. He was employed at Hermie's Music Store for approximately 40 years and then at John Keal Music Co. where he continued to work for 25 years until he retired. Peter was a member of the local musicians union and Rotterdam Elks Club. In Peter's free time he enjoyed fishing, bowling and watching the Yankees.
Peter is predeceased by his loving wife Louise Meier Scirocco.
He is survived by his two loving daughters Teresa Reagan of Rotterdam and Gina Bette (Mark) of Loudonville, his brother Jack Scirocco (Carol) of Scotia, two sisters Mary Jane Matousek of Rotterdam and Madeline Chirico of Schenectady. Peter is also survived by three loving grandchildren Shanna Gallo (John), Emily Bette and Sarah Bette as well as several nieces and nephews and one cousin.
The family would also like to thank the staff at Brookdale East and Kingsway Arms Nursing Home for their kindness and compassion while Peter was under their Care.
Funeral Services for Peter will be private There will be no calling hours by request. Entombment in Most Holy Redeemer Mausoleum in Niskayuna.

Arrangements are by the Boned Funeral Home 1614 Guilderland Avenue Schenectady.
