Peter E Johnson

Peter E. Johnson, 94, of Scotia died at Ellis Hospital Sunday December 7, 2008 after a Short Illness. Born in Brooklyn, NY he was the son of the late Elias and Bertha (Frisk) Johnson. Peter at age 16 was an Eagle Scout and was proud of his achievement. He served in the US Marines. Peter was employed as a Claim Adjuster for the Acme Freight Company in New York City. He was a member of the Calvary Orthodox Presbyterian Church in Schenectady. Peter was a life member of the Harlow Family Association. He is predeceased by his brother Dr. George Johnson. Peter is survived by his wife Beverley H. (Harlow) Johnson whom he married February 16, 1940, three sons William Johnson ( Marilyn) of Scotia, Peter Johnson ( Audrey) of Ashford, MA and Walter Johnson ( Mary) of Big Bend, Wis., also survived by 10 Grandchildren, 16 Great Grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral Services will be Wednesday 11AM at the Calvary Orthodox Presbyterian Church 1230 Rugby Road Schenectady. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. A Calling Hour will be Wednesday morning 10-11AM at the Church and Tuesday evening 6-8PM at the Bond Funeral Home Broadway and Guilderland Avenue Schenectady. Internment will be in the Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville.
