Pearl L. White

Pearl L. White, 96, of Glenville passed away surrounded by her loving family on Sunday February 9, 2025 at Albany Medical Center. Born in Cleveland, Ohio she was the daughter of the late Albert and Evelyn (McKim) Avery.

Her family lived for many years in Ohio and later moved to Brooklyn, NY, there she graduated from Girls Commercial High School. In July of 1946, her family moved to Schenectady, NY. Pearl was employed for over 25 years for the General Electric Company, retiring in 1990. She later was a member of the GE Quarter Century Club.

Pearl was a devout member and pianist for the Salvation Army in Schenectady for 70 years.

She is predeceased by her husband Donald G. White whom she married in 1950. Pearl is also predeceased by her sister Lily Henderson.

Pearl is survived by her children Patricia Holzhauer (John), and Brenda Hamm (Bill), her brothers Albert Avery (Ruth) and Glenn Avery (Mary) as well as three grandchildren Jennifer Hamm, Katie Afinowicz and Amy Thackeray. Pearl also leaves behind 6 great grandchildren Elijah Afinowicz, Jack  Afinowicz, Natalie  Afinowicz , Carly  Afinowicz, Anna Thackeray and Lyla Thackeray

Pearl's life was a testament to her love of God and her family.

Funeral Services for Pearl will be Saturday February 15, 2025 at 11AM at the Bond Funeral Home 1614 Guilderland Avenue Schenectady. A Visitation will be from 10-11am prior.

Interment will be in Parkview Cemetery.
