Paul A. Surin, 82, of Fort Pierce Florida, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at the Hospice in Vero Beach, Florida.
Born in Schenectady, NY Paul was the son of the late Paul and Ann (Mitskus) Surin. He graduated from Mont Pleasant High School in Schenectady.
Paul faithfully served his country in The United States Army. Following his military service, Paul embarked on a long career with the Schenectady Fire Department, where he worked to serve his hometown. Paul worked as a bus driver for the Rotterdam School Districts and then went on to own his own bus company. Early in his career he was a tool and die maker for Pratt & Whitney Aircraft Corporation.
Paul enjoyed playing golf and bocci with the residents of Ft. Pierce Spanish Lakes Country Club Village. As his children were growing up, he managed many of their baseball teams for Rotterdam Little League.
Predeceased by his parents, Paul is also predeceased by his sons John, David & Stephen Surin, his sister Phyllis (Ronald) Ziobroski, and his sister-in-law, Janice Zapp.
Paul is survived by his loving wife Joan, his sister MaryAnn (David deceased) Petricca, sons Michael (Kathleen) Surin & Joseph (Casondra) Surin. He is also survived by his beloved cousins, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews, whom he loved dearly.

A visitation will be held on Friday December 13, from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Bond Funeral Home, 1614 Guilderland Ave, Schenectady, New York. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 14th, at Bond Funeral Home at 10:00 am. Burial will take place immediately following at Holy Cross Cemetery.
