July 19, 1927 — April 2, 2011

Paul L. Kelly, 83, of Niskayuna died Saturday April 2, 2011 at home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Rimersburg, PA, he was the son of the late Frank and Grace (Dawson) Kelly. Paul was a graduate of Union High School and the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science. He served in the Navy during World War 2. Paul was a Licensed Funeral Director since 1950. He was employed for the Elmira Casket Co. for 2 years; the Erie Casket Co for 6 years and finally was in Sales for the Florence Casket Company for 34 years until his death. Paul was a member of the 1st Presbyterian Church in Schenectady. He was also a member of the Kane Masonic Lodge 566, the VFW Post 7132 in Rimersburg, PA and a former member of the American Legion Post in Kane, PA. Paul is predeceased by one son Kent Kelly. He is survived by his loving wife Ruth Van Dyke Kelly whom he married September 10, 1948, one son P. Brace Kelly of Charlton, two daughters Regina Gallagher ( James) of Williamsville, NY and Vanessa Stacy ( Thomas) of Niskayuna, also survived by 8 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be Thursday 11AM at the Bond Funeral Home Broadway and Guilderland Avenue Schenectady. Relatives and Friends are invited to attend. Calling Hours will be Wednesday 2-4PM and 6-9PM at the funeral home. Internment will be in Parkview Cemetery in Schenectady.
