Patricia Ann McDuffee, 88, of Rotterdam passed away peacefully on February 12, 2026 surrounded by her loving family. Patricia was born March 30th, 1937 in Irvington, N.J. She was the daughter of Dorothy and Lawrence Sterling and stepfather Duane Lettis. Patricia was a graduate of Draper High School and Albany Business College, then employed by General Electric Company at Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory.
Patricia married the love of her life Clifton on January 27, 1957. She was a loving wife, mother, nana and great-nana. Pat enjoyed being involved during her children’s school years as den mother, brownie leader, and member of the PTA and Booster Club.
After raising her children, she worked at Sears Northeast Region offices in Albany retiring in 1992. Pat and Clif owned and operated the Fishhook Dock Campground at the Great Sacandaga Lake since 1988. Prior to that, they had been campers there since 1963. Pat loved her time at the lake surrounded by her family and friends. She had an infectious laugh that would put a smile on everyone’s face. Pat enjoyed traveling, reading, puzzles and spending time with her family, especially her chats with her grandchildren who were the light of her life. She could always be seen cheering them on at their sporting events, dance recitals and concerts. Pat and her husband Clif loved their trips to Maine, Florida and the Jersey Coast.
Patricia was predeceased by her beloved husband Clifton of 59 years. She is survived by her son, Donald McDuffee of Princetown, daughter, Sandra McDuffee of Rotterdam, grandchildren Alysia Maine (Brian), Sarah Hladik (Chris), Sean McDuffee, great grandson Levi Cliff, nephews and cousins.
Funeral Services will be Saturday February 28, 2026 at 10am at St. Madeleine Sophie Church 3500 Carman Road in Guilderland. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
Interment in Schenectady Memorial Park in Rotterdam.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Ronald McDonald House or Schenectady City Mission.
