Norma T. Wissick, 91, of Rotterdam passed away at home surrounded by her loving family where she had lived since 1957. Born in Schenectady, she was the daughter of Louis and Helen (Marion) Pomplin. She attended Schenectady Public Schools graduating from Mt. Pleasant in 1946. Norma was employed for GE until 1954. Later, she was a Sales Associate for Montgomery Ward's department store in Mohawk Mall, retiring in 1987. She was also a member of the Schenectady County Historical Society. She attended Zion Lutheran Church in Schenectady. Norma was predeceased by her husband Charles Wissick whom she married June 17, 1949. She was also predeceased by one brother Louis Pomplin and one sister Lorraine Crookes. Norma is survived by two loving sons Brent S. Wissick (Ruth Johnson) of Chapel Hill, NC and Wayne L. Wissick of Mechanicville. She is also survived by three grandchildren Andrew Wissick, Ariana Wissick and Charles Wissick as well as several nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Norma's life will be Sunday September 3, 2017at 2PM at Carman United Methodist Church 2350 Hamburg Street in Rotterdam. Interment will be in Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Schenectady.
