Nancylee Bedard peacefully entered the loving arms of her lord and savior on January 26, 2026, at age 85. She was embraced by the angels and those loved ones who welcomed her home. She departed with dignity with family by her side; her abundant love filling the room and our hearts.
Nancy was born to John and Dorothy Gerding, January 1, 1941 and raised in Schenectady. She raised her family in Schenectady and worked many years at Maple Ridge ARC, and later working at the Schenectady Food Pantry. She also worked for Schenectady Inner City Ministry Food Pantry and volunteers after retiring. She lived the teachings of Christ every moment of her life, and provided care and counseling to those in need through her activities at Princetown Church where she was a long time member. There she formed long lasting bonds and friendships, singing in the choir, attending and leading bible studies and devotions.
Nancys life was devoted to her Lord, her family and friends, and she always placed them first in her life. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was a prolific painter and attended the Stockade Art Show for many years as an exhibitor. She loved her home and enjoyed entertaining. She especially loved Cape Cod, visiting every year since childhood, the ocean providing joy to her soul.
Nancy is survived by her husband, James Bedard, sister, Judi Martone (Porter Corners) and nephew, David (Aimee) Martone of Saratoga, her son Michael (Cynthia) LaTulippe of Castleton, daughter Barbra (Earl) Bennett of Catskill, and daughter Amy (Jim) Radley, beloved grandchildren Timothy and Jorja of Schenectady, her granddaughter Nicole (Kevin) Archibald of Schenectady, and Jenna LaTulippe of Connecticut, along with several great grandchildren, as well as her step children Melanie Bedard, Melissa Treers’s and Brian Bedard.
Her family would like to thank the staff at Kingsway Arms for their love and compassionate care for her over the past few years. Everyone whose life she touched will remember her lovingly forever.
