Nancy A Barber

Nancy A. Barber, 61, of Schenectady passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday March 20, 2018. Born in Glens Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Albert G. Barber and Rose M. (Ruby) Barber of Schenectady. She was a 1975 graduate of Mont Pleasant High School. Nancy was employed for the Mohonasen School District. She was the best aunt to her nieces and nephews. She was equally the best great aunt to her great nieces and great nephews. Nancy was an awesome chef. She also was a disc jockey and was very passionate about music. Her passion for music allowed her to give guitar lessons. Besides her father, she is predeceased by her brother James Barber. Nancy leaves behind her mother and is also survived by her brothers and sisters-Carol Stringham (Donald) of Rotterdam, Rozann Barber of Jacksonville, FL., Allan Barber of Schenectady, Lori Smith of Guilderland and Peter Barber (Jackie) of Mariaville. She is also survived by her sister in law Gail Barber of Stillwater as well as several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Nancy's Life will be on Saturday March 24, 2018 from 1-3PM with a service to follow at 3PM at the Bond Funeral Home 1614 Guilderland Avenue Schenectady.
