Muriel Barry Smith

Muriel Barry Smith 91 died Saturday October 31, 2009 at Bon Secours Nursing Home in Florida. Born in Worcester, MA, Muriel was the daughter of the late Clifford J.E. and Mabelle (Newton) Barry. A homemaker, She was a graduate of Albany Teachers College and had taught high school in Kerhonkson, NY, where she met her husband Albert. A member of Bellevue Reformed Church, Muriel also had worked at the General Electric Company for a short time. She was predeceased in 1985 by her husband Albert H. Smith who she married March 29, 1942 and her brother Edward Barry. Muriel is survived by her children, Jeanne Kepple of Pinellas Park, Fl and Gail Van Bumble of Richmond, VA, her grandchildren, Jolene Vrooman, Jay Van Bumble, Justin Van Bumble, Jessica Knoell, Christopher Kepple and Matthew Kepple and 8 great grandchildren. Funeral service will be held Thursday morning November 5th at 11 am at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Ave., Schenectady, NY. Calling Hours Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 pm at the funeral home.
