Mrs Levia C Ames

Levia C. Ames 95 of Rotterdam died Sunday evening November 14, 2010 at Kingsway Arms Nursing Home in Schenectady. Born in Schenectady, Levia was a graduate of Nott terrace High School and the daughter of the late Carmine and Filomena Cuoco. A teller for many years at Schenectady Savings Bank before her retirement, Levia was a member of 1st Presbyterian Church in Schenectady. She was predeceased in 1987 by her husband of 49 years Gordon Ames. Levia was also predeceased by her brothers, Michael and Gerald Cuoco and sisters, Ann Corino, Genevieve Brucemi and Josephine Loudis. She is survived by her sons, Arthur Ames (Penny) of St. Louis, MO and Craig Ames (Devon) of Lincoln, NE, a sister Jean DiMeo of Rotterdam, 5 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Thursday afternoon November 18, 2010 at 2 pm at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Ave, Schenectady. A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 12:30 to 2 pm prior to the funeral service to which relatives and friends are invited. Interment in Evergreen Memorial Park.
