Minnie L. Gallucci, 93, formerly of Rotterdam passed away on Saturday evening October 12th at Schenectady Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing.
Born in Dilles Bottom, Ohio, Minnie was the daughter of the late Frank and Elizabeth (Trudo) Rocchio and a graduate of the former Draper High School.
A homemaker, Minnie was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Church and bowled with her husband Guido in the Saturday night Happy Foursome league for years. Devoted to her family, she would never miss a sporting event or a recital that her children or grandchildren were in.
Predeceased in 2006 by her beloved husband of 59 years Guido Gallucci, Minnie was also predeceased by her sister, Mary Levey and brother’s, Pasquale and Tony Rocchio.
Minnie is survived by her children; Denise M. Califano (Bruce) of Rotterdam and Richard A. Gallucci (Jeri) of Ithaca, grandchildren; Amanda Califano Whittaker (Matt), Michael Califano (Kasey), Nicole Eversley-Bradwell (Sean), Anthony Gallucci and Gabriel Gallucci, as well as 7 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A prayer service for Minnie will be held on Tuesday morning October 22nd at 9 am Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Avenue, Schenectady, NY followed at 9:30 am at Our Lady Queen of Peace, 210 Princetown Road, Schenectady where a mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. A visitation for family and friends will be held at the funeral home from 8 to 9 am prior to the prayer service.
Interment will be with her husband Guido and her parents in St. Cyril’s Cemetery in Rotterdam, NY.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Minnie’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105
