Milica S Writer (Stankovic)

Milica (Mickey) Writer, of Niskayuna, NY, passed away on October 30th after a short battle with cancer. She was born on July 25th, 1936 in Belgrade, Yugoslavia. She immigrated to Clifton Park in 1968 and was predeceased by her husband, Edward B. Writer Jr. Mickey worked as a rental agent at Loudon Arms Apartments and at Dawn Homes' Van Antwerp Village for 39 years. She is survived by her daughter, Jamila Writer Weintraub of New York City, her son, John A. Writer of Stafford, Virginia, son-in-law, Philip Weintraub, daughter-in-law Rhonda Writer, sister Lola Ida, brother-in-law John Ida, niece Lillian Medina, 8 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and her loving friend, Jimmy McDonough. Her Celebration of Life Services will be held at Bond Funeral Home 1614 Guilderland Avenue Schenectady on Saturday, November 4th, 2017 at 5:30 pm. A Visitation will be held prior to the service from 4:30-5:30PM.
