It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved mother, Mila Hover, age 66, on June 13, 2024, at her home in Columbus, MT.
Mila was born 4th of 6 daughters to August and Muriel Maura on May 8, 1958. She graduated from Draper High School in 1976. She married her soul mate, Lynn Hover on September 17, 1983, and quickly moved to Issaquah, WA, where they planted roots and started their beautiful family of four children: Jake, Travis, Kara and Shanae. Mila was an incredible mother, daughter, sister, friend, and grandmother. She dedicated her life to her family and friends and lived for the joy that her grandchildren: Austin, Jack and Maura brought her. She made quite an impression on anyone who crossed her path and was loving and generous to a fault. She was an incredible cook who loved to bake and share her delicious desserts with all, especially during holiday season.
Friends and family have asked what took her from us so suddenly. The honest answer is…She died of a broken heart. Anyone who met our parents knew how special and sacred their relationship was. After our father died, it was apparent that part of her died with him. While we are heartbroken at the loss of our beautiful mother, it brings us peace and solace knowing that Mom and Dad are together once again. Always loved, never forgotten, forever missed.
Mila is predeceased by her parents, August and Muriel Maura, sister, Wendy Maura and husband, Lynn. She is survived by her sisters, Debby Higgins, Kim Ashley,
Vickie (Larry) Schellenger, and Shellie Boffa; sons Jake (Amy) Hover and Travis Hover; daughters Kara (Ryan) Burgess and Shanae Hover; and her grandchildren Jack and Austin Hover and Maura Burgess; several in-laws and nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Mila’s life will be held 1:00 PM on September 7th at Fall City Farms, Fall City, WA
