Michael T Norris

Michael T. Norris, 60, formerly of Schenectady died August 17th, 2014 in Bullhead City, Arizona after a long illness. Born and educated in Schenectady, Michael is the son of Herbert and Mary "Shirley" (Maraviglia) Norris of Schenectady and a 1972 graduate of Draper High School. An Army veteran, Michael was a truck driver for over 25 years, having worked for St. Johnsbury and Preston Trucking before retiring from Yellow Freight. Michael enjoyed all types of racing, especially NASCAR and had a deep love for his cats. He enjoyed boating and really enjoyed caring for his cars and his truck. Beside his parents, Michael is survived by his children Richard T. Norris of Colorado and Crystal Marie Norris of Latham, his brother, Patrick C. Norris (Debbie) of Utica and sister, Darlene M. Kosakowski of Stephentown as well as 5 nieces and nephews. A service with military honors will be held on Monday September 22nd at 11 am at Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Road, Schuylerville, NY. A visitation will be held on Sunday September 21st from 5 to 7 pm at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Ave, Schenectady, NY. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Michael's memory to the American Cancer Society, 260 Osborne Road, Loudonville, NY 12211.
