Michael Anthony Lonigro Sr., beloved father, passed away peacefully on September 15, 2024 at Schenectady Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing in Schenectady, NY, and was surrounded by a loving family. Michael was born on May 10, 1966, to surviving parents Andrew Joseph Lonigro and Linda Marie DeRosa in West Islip, New York.

Michael graduated from William Floyd High School in 1984. He then went to UAlbany, majoring in History and minoring in Economics. After an extensive break in between semesters, he graduated from UAlbany in 1997. During his time at UAlbany, he participated in the sport of
rugby. He met Vivian Pacheco, and although they were never married, they had 2 sons together. He was a Boy Scout, a member of Sons of Italy, and was also part of a marching band where he played the clarinet.

He worked for the SEIU Union for many years. Afterwards, he worked as an insurance broker for Aflac and HM Insurance Group.

Michael loved his family above all else, especially his children. He was a very diligent father to his children. Regardless of what hardships he faced, whether it be medical issues or other issues, he always made sure that his children received their needs and were safe, fed, received their education, and were cared for.

Michael enjoyed listening to music, being with his family, watching movies, and spending holidays with his family. He was also an avid watcher of baseball and football and a lifelong fan of the NY Yankees and NY Giants. He was an avid listener of all types of older music,
specifically music from the 60s, 70s, and 80s. His two sons also listened to music with him often, and they would also gain an interest in music because of it.

Michael is survived by his two sons, Michael Lonigro Jr. and Giovanni Lonigro, his brother, John Lonigro, his two sisters, Laura Conasta and Lisa Lonigro, and his numerous cousins, nephews, and nieces.
