Michael Bursiewicz

Michael Bursiewicz, 58, of Rotterdam, died Monday August 22, 2011 at Ellis Hospital. Born in Albany, NY, Michael was the son of Helen (Nowinski) Bursiewicz of Rotterdam and the late Bernard Bursiewicz. For over 20 years Michael worked as fleet manager at Halsted Communications in Malta. Michael belonged to the Rotterdam Elks lodge #2157 and also enjoyed camping, bowling and barbequing. Besides his father, Michael is predeceased by several aunts and uncles. Michael is survived by his mother Helen Nowinski Bursiewicz, along with his beloved wife, Lisa (LaRosa) Bursiewicz of Rotterdam, his son Matthew Smith of Rotterdam, stepchildren Erick and Angela Bredehoeft both of Houston, TX and several cousins. Funeral services will be Wednesday August 31, 2011 at 9:15am at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Ave., Schenectady, NY followed at 10am at the Church of St. Adalbert , 550 Lansing Street, Schenectady, NY where a mass of Christian burial will be celebrated. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday evening August 30 from 5pm-8pm. Interment in St. Adalbert's Cemetery.
