Mary E Savage

Mary E. Savage 76 of Middleburgh died Sunday afternoon June 24, 2007 at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady. Born in Troy, NY, Mary was the daughter of the late Dewey and Florence (Kurtzne) Vrooman. A graduate of Woestina High School, Mary worked for the Schenectady County Department of Social Service for over 31 years, retiring in 1992 as an Income Maintenance Director. She was a member of the New York State C.S.E.A., the Schoharie Valley Piecemakers Quilting Guild and the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church and a communicant of the Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church in Central Bridge. Mary is survived by her husband of 35 years Gerald L. Savage, three children; Terry Vrooman Ottendorf (Janet) of Duanesburg, Donna Joy (Ottendorf) Roschke (Steven) of Cincinnati, Ohio and Kurt Douglas Ottendorf of Albany and six grandchildren; Emma Ottendorf, Kyle Ottendorf, Simon Ottendorf, Christopher Roschke, Madeline Roschke and Robert Ottendorf. Funeral services will be held on Friday morning June 29, 2007 at 11 am at Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church in Central Bridge, NY. A visitation will be held on Thursday evening at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Ave, Schenectady, NY from 5 to 8 pm. Interment will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Northville, NY
