Mary F "Biddy" Harley (Chelf)

Mary F. "Biddy" Harley, 91, of Rotterdam passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday April 23, 2016. Born on April 6, 1925 in Abilene, Texas, Biddy was the daughter of the late Etheridge and Ida Chelf. Biddy was the beloved mother of Sylvia "Mary" James (Chuck) of Niskayuna. She is also survived by her grandchildren Bryan Therriault and his wife Erica of Stamford, CT, Jennifer Price and her husband Robbie of Melrose, MA, and Pamela James of Burlington, VT and their mom Julie Buchan of Ballston Lake. Also survived by her great grandchildren Alexandra, Ella and Billy Therriault and their mom Katy Biscone, and also great grandchildren Justin Therriault and Marlowe and Dylan Price. Biddy was predeceased by her husband Albert Earl Harley Jr., their grandson Scott J. Therriault and three brothers and two sisters. Biddy will always be remembered as a wonderful and compassionate woman who was respected and loved by all who knew her. A special thank you goes out to her loving caretakers Annabelle and Zenny as well as her neighbors and wonderful friends Carol and Charlene and her special friends Carol ,Paul , Brenda and Nancy. A private graveside service will be held Saturday April 30th with Rev William J Grosso officiating. Contributions can be made in Biddy's memory to the Billy Therriault Foundation in care of Sarah Biscone Newkirk ,311 State Street ,Albany, NY 12210. Arrangements are by the Bond Funeral Home Broadway and Guilderland Avenue Schenectady.
