Martin Garcia-Rivera

Martin Garcia-Rivera, 52 passed away unexpectedly Saturday April 8th at his home in Schenectady.

Born in Fajardo, Puerto Rico, Martin was the son of the late Martin Garcia and Miriam Rivera Garcia.

A former delivery person in the Schenectady area, Martin was a proud father and grandfather, who loved to help and be there for his family and friends. He was a great father, grandfather, son, brother, nephew and friend. Martin always loved a good party, he will be truly miss by all who knew him.

Martin is survived by his daughter, Jean Garcia-Hernandez of Florida, his mother, Miriam Rivera Garcia, his grandchildren, Javier Rivera-Garcia and Ariya Hope Garcia-Hernandez, sisters Marta Garcia of Schenectady and Nancy Hernandez of Maryland, brothers Hector Garcia of Florida and Harold Garcia of Maryland and several nieces and nephews.

Services for Martin will be held on Thursday evening April 13th at 7 pm at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Avenue, Schenectady, NY. A visitation for family and friends will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 5 to 7 pm prior to the service and from 7:30 to 9 pm following the service.
