Marshall Whitney Ferguson

September 20, 1920 — February 9, 2009

Marshall W. Ferguson 88 of Princetown, NY died Monday February 9, 2009 at home after a short illness. Born in Princetown, he was the son of the late Walter and Bertha (Gifford) Ferguson. A navy veteran of WWII, he began work at the General Electric Co. in 1947 and retired as a foreman at the R& D Center in Schenectady after 35 years of service. Marshall had a passion for horses and started racing and driving standard bred horses in 1947. He started with his brother Stanley and has continued his partnership with his son Kelly. He was a long standing member of the former Princetown Reformed Church and a former deacon. Marshall was predeceased by his son Lee and brother Stanley. Survivor's include his wife of 60 years Marie (Kelley) Ferguson, his children, Craig Ferguson, Rhonda Martin (Fred) and Kelley Ferguson(Donna), his grandchildren, Fred Martin, Nicole Martin, Jenna Ferguson, Erin Ferguson and Zachary Ferguson, great grandchildren, Reyea and Lucas Ferguson, 4 sisters, Marguerite Mataraazzo, Charlotte McClaine, Ethel Krajewski and Irma Peterson and many beloved nieces and nephews.Funeral service will be held on Tuesday February 17, 2009 at 10:30AM at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Ave., Schenectady, NY. A calling hour will be held form 9 to 10:30AM prior to the funeral service.
