Marlene A. Cintula 88 went to be with her beloved husband Steven on September 19, 2022 at Glendale Nursing Home.
Born and educated in Schenectady, Marlene was the daughter of Stephen and Anna Pollack and was a graduate of Draper High School.
A homemaker, Marlene was a former employee of the Carl Company and was co-owner with her husband of Steve’s Deli on Hamburg Street in Rotterdam. Marlene was also a member of St Gabriel’s Church.
Predeceased in 1994 by her beloved husband of 28 years, Steven Cintula, Marlene is survived by her children, Jeffrey Cintula of Burnt Hills, Michael Cintula (Bonnie) of Rotterdam and Bonnie DiGirloamo (Dominick) of Rotterdam, her grandchildren, Shelley Park (Tim), Tracie Denny (Robert), Brian Haas (Shannon) Sheri Cintula, Jason Cintula, Cameron Cintula and Alec Cintula, her 9 great grandchildren, her sister-in-law, Marian Cintula and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her extended family and friends who loved and cherished Mum.
Marlene’s family would like to thank the staff of the Glendale Nursing Home (Erie Crossing) and especially Corrine Palluti for their exceptional care and compassion given to her during her time at the home.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday September 22nd at 12 noon at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Avenue, Schenectady, NY. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 10 to 12 noon prior to her service.
Interment in St. Cyril’s Cemetery, Rotterdam, NY
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Marlene’s memory to the Glendale Home Auxiliary, 59 Hetcheltown Road, Glenville, NY 12302
