Mark P. Mateunas

Mark P. Mateunas, 74, of Schenectady  passed away at home on Thursday July 16, 2026. Born in Amsterdam, he was the son of the late Edward and Stella (Uncher) Mateunas.

He was a graduate of Clarkson University. Mark was employed as an engineer for the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, retiring in 2007.

Mark was passionate about bowling and loved spending time with his friends.

Besides his parents, he is predeceased by a niece Jessica Nadler.

Mark is survived by two sisters Barbara Mateunas and Christine Nadler (Jeff) as well as one nephew Brian Nadler.

Services for Mark will be private.

Contributions can be made in his memory to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
