Marjorie (Martens) Steiner, 80 of Rotterdam died Sunday February 27, 2005 at Ellis Hospital after a short illness. Born in Saginaw, MI, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Lily (Stubley) Martens. Marjorie attended college at R.P.I. and later worked in jewelry sales for Sarah Coventry. She was a member of George Hope Chapter # 271 of the Eastern Star and St. Paul's Episcopal Church. Marjorie was the wife for 58 years of the late George C. Steiner who died in 2001. She is survived by her four children; Candace S. Fehr (Donald) of Brookfield, NY, Amy J. Leifer ( Steven) of East Greenbush, Christine A. Chandler ( Robert ) of Delanson and Peter W. Steiner (Karen Korszun ) of Schenectady , a brother James Martens of Hawaii, and seven grandchildren; Kerri A . Fehr, Ann M. Leifer, Joseph R. Leifer, Raymond J. Leifer, Robert J. Chandler III, John S. Chandler and Billy C. Chandler. Marjorie was also predeceased by two grandchildren; Donald J. Fehr Jr. and Kelsey L. Fehr. Funeral services will be held Friday morning March 4, 2005 at 10 am at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Avenue, Schenectady, NY. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home Thursday evening from 7 to 9 pm. Internment will be in Saratoga National Cemetery at a later date.
