Marjorie E Herd

Marjorie E. Herd, 93, of Rotterdam died Wednesday September 3, 2008 at Bassett Healthcare in Cooperstown, NY after a short illness. Born in Watervliet, NY, she was the daughter of Robert and Catherine (Hill) Morse. She attended Nott Terrace High School in Schenectady. Marjorie was a learning Governess at the Children's Home in Troy. She was later a homemaker. Marjorie was a meticulous seamstress. She also enjoyed painting, crafts and camping. Marjorie is predeceased by her husband Stanley G. Herd Sr., whom she married August 31, 1935, two brothers Meredith Morse and Howard Morse and one sister in law Alma Morse. She is survived by her two children Stanley G. Herd Jr. (Debbie) of Hagaman, NY and Joan Livingston (John) of Rotterdam, one sister in law Evelyn Morse of Saratoga Springs, also survived by 5 Grandchildren- John Livingston Jr. (Laura), Jeff Livingston (Stacie), Jennifer Livingston, Ken Herd (Tanya) and Carolyn Oscarson (Brian), 4 Great Grandchildren-Heather, Jackson, Benjamin and Trevor as well as one niece Gayle Holly. Funeral Services will be Monday 2PM at the Bond Funeral Home Broadway and Guilderland Avenue Schenectady. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. A Calling Hour will be Monday 1-2PM prior to the service at the funeral home. Internment will be in Parkview Cemetery in Schenectady.
