Marjorie L Oles (Deschenes)

Marjorie L. Oles (Deschenes), 82, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on Wednesday December 12, 2018 at her daughter’s home surrounded by her loving family.

Marge was born to the late Albert A. and Gladys (Hickey) Deschenes on May 20, 1936. She was a graduate of the class of 1954 from Altamont High School. On September 11, 1955 she married her late husband Arthur F. Oles. She is survived by two children Anne Dutelle (late David) and Robert Oles (Anna).

She is also survived by six grandchildren Sarahanne (John) Timian, James (Lindsey) Dutelle, Daniel (Julianna) Oles, Amanda (Philip) Sollecito, Olivia (Timothy) Hallenbeck and Timothy Oles and seven great grandchildren.

Left behind to cherish her memory is her partner, Wayne Eckler, of Burnt Hills. Wayne and Marge spent many years enjoying family and friends and traveling to camp and Bar Harbor, Maine.

She worked for many years for local chiropractors and was a member of the Burnt Hills Women’s Auxiliary. Family was the definition of Marge’s life.

A Celebration of Marge’s life will be Tuesday December 18, 2018 at 6PM at the Bond Funeral Home, 1614 Guilderland Avenue Schenectady. Visitation will precede the service from 4:30-6PM.
