Marion K. Buehler, 91 of Rotterdam died Sunday night May 7, 2006 at St. Clares Hospital from the complication of heart disease. Born December 30, 1914 in Utica, NY. She was the oldest of five daughters born to the late George L. and Kathryn (Laun) Brown. Marion was the beloved wife of Edward (Erwin) W. Buehler, who died April 8, 2005 after 65 years of marriage. She was also predeceased by her beloved daughter-in-law, Karen (Gentile) Buehler and by three sisters, Beverly Collins, Virginia Brown and Evelyn Brown. Marion cherished her family and friends and was a kind and loving person to all who knew her. A gifted pianist and stylist, she played piano professionally in Utica prior to her marriage and taught both classical and poplar piano for several years in Rotterdam. She also enjoyed writing music and poetry. She was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church. Marion was the beloved mother of Linda M. Buehler and Robert E. Buehler Sr. both of Rotterdam, the cherished grandmother of Marlene C. Peek and husband Richard of Clifton Park and Robert E. Buehler Jr. of Rotterdam, the beloved great grandmother of Juliana and Abigail Peek. She is also survived by a sister Helen Calabrese of Utica and three special nieces Marilynn Buehler Petrequin of Kattskill Bay, NY, Lisa Buehler Borel of Baton Rouge, LA and Betty Buehler Hudson of Las Vegas, NV and two nieces and nephews in Utica. Funeral services will be held Thursday morning May 11, 2006 at 11 am at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Ave, Schenectady, NY. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 pm. Interment in Schenectady Memorial Park, Rotterdam, NY. In Marion's memory flowers may be sent or contribution may be made to a charity of choice.
