Marilyn A Walthers (Vedder)

Princetown- Marilyn A. (Vedder) Walthers, 72, passed away peacefully on Thursday May 28, 2015 at her home. She was born and raised in Princetown, the daughter of the late Everett and Hazel Vedder. Marilyn was a graduate of Schalmont High School and The Spencer Business Institute. She was employed for many years at The Mohawk Valley Library Association. Marilyn's greatest joy was spending time with her cherished grandchildren, whether playing a simple game or watching the waves come ashore at the beach she so loved. She will be greatly missed and is survived by her sons Mark and Jeffrey, daughters in law Christine and Michele, her cherished grandchildren, Hudson, Elaine and Milo, her brother Robert Vedder and his wife Linda, Cousins Carol(Bill) Casagrand, Elsa (Herm) Craven, nieces and nephews Allan (Kim) Vedder, Marcie (Chris) Caldwell, grandnephews Justin and Ryan. She is also survived by her beloved long time companion Anthony Monaco and his loving family. Viewing for friends and family will take place at the Bond Funeral Home 1614 Guilderland Avenue Schenectady on Tuesday June 2nd from 5pm to 8pm. A memorial service in celebration of Marilyn's life will be held on Wednesday June 3rd at 11am in Poling Chapel at The First Reformed Church , 8 North Church St, Schenectady, NY (please use the Church office entrance located on Church St). In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Marilyn's name to the Schalmont High School Friends of Music, 1 Sabre Drive Schenectady, NY 12306.
