Marilyn D. Primett, 72, passed away on September 25,2024 peacefully in her Florida home.

Born in Schenectady, New York on New Year Day 1952, Marilyn was the daughter of the late Edgar and Marion (Smith) Primett.

Marilyn was a 1970 graduate of Schalmont High School followed by a long career at The General Electric Company as a machinist.

On February 20, 1981 Marilyn married Michael Zimolka and together they enjoyed 35 years taking bowling trips and traveling with family and good friends until Mike’s passing in 2016.

Over the past four years since moving to Florida, Marilyn had continued to enjoy golf, bowling and her favorite card game May I. She never met a person she didn’t call friend, especially if they had a dog she could introduce to her furry best friend Buddy.

Along with her parents, Marilyn was predeceased by her siblings Betty Wallace, Edgar Primett, Ronald Primett, Robert Primett and just recently Stanley (Jay) Primett.

She was also predeceased by her mother in law Emma "Peggy" (Lee) Zimolka and her brother in law Robert Zimolka.

She is survived by her sisters Joan (Mario) Schiavone and Heidi Slurff and sister in law Karen Zimolka, as well as many nieces and nephews whom she cared deeply for.

Marilyn is also survived by her husband Michael’s children, James (Argelis) Zimolka and his children Emilee, James, (their mother Mary), Zoey; Heath Zimolka and his children Billy, Zachary, Noah, Zoe (their mother Meghan); Michael Zimolka Jr. and Heidi Zimolka.

Marilyn was a kind person and in her memory please pay it forward with an act of kindness. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to your local Hospice.

A memorial service will be held at Bond Funeral Home, 1614 Guilderland Ave, Schenectady NY on Saturday October 12, 2024 at 11am. All are welcome.
